“Ever since we met earlier this year, Lucy has continued to inspire me through her incredible gift and passion for the piano, and I am honoured to be a part of her journey."

“When I first saw her play piano, I knew I was witnessing something truly remarkable. When she plays, her whole world changes and in turn so does ours. She transports us to a magical place. Lucy has proven that with passion, talent and determination you can make the world a better place.”

Lucy’s Story
Lucy is completely blind and has a chromosome 16 duplication, which is a rare condition affecting mental health with autism traits and affecting overall communication. Lucy is hypermobile and suffers with CVS. She is in remission from bi-lateral retina-blastoma and is globally developmentally delayed. However, Lucy has a talent, and it is by using this extraordinary talent, Lucy is able to communicate.
Lucy’s story began with a children’s book with a tiny piano, where at five years old Lucy started playing Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star. The family, then upgraded her keyboard and realised she was composing music in her head while sitting on the sofa. Lucy was able to play back music after listening to it just once. The teenager wowed the country when she first appeared on Channel 4’s ‘The Piano’ and since then her story has captured the nation who have been both moved and amazed by her outstanding accomplishments, and truly inspiring journey. World-renowned pianist, Lang Lang and pop sensation, Mika crowned 13-year-old Lucy, the ‘unofficial’ winner of the competition with her stunning performance of Debussy’s Arabesque No1, which she performed in front of 2000 people at the Royal Festival Hall.
Lucy’s album documents her unique journey from a small house in West Yorkshire all the way to performances at The Royal Albert Hall, the King’s Coronation Concert and the 2024 Paralympics homecoming. Rather than rush out a record, Lucy’s album has been meticulously recorded over a period of eighteen months. Lucy and her support team relished every moment, the young artist flourishing through this process of recording.
